Meet Dr. William P. Mills, Jr.
Dr. William P. Mills, Jr. holds a BS degree from Presbyterian College, a Master of Science degree in Anatomy and his DMD degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Mills practiced general dentistry for 5 years in the United States Army before entering an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ft. Gordon, GA. Dr. Mills held consecutive assignments as attending staff of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Programs at Brooke Army Medical Center, FL. Sam Houston, Texas; Wm. Beaumont Army Medical Center, Ft. Bliss, Texas; and Eisehower Army Medical Center, Ft. Gordon, GA. Dr. Mills served 21 years in the United States Army before retiring as a Colonel in 1994 and returning to Spartanburg to practice with Dr. George Graham. Upon Dr. Graham's retirement, Dr. Mills became sole owner of UPSTATE ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY, P.A.
Dr. Mills is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), a Diplomate of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and a member of the American Dental Association. He is also a member and Past President of the Piedmont District Dental Society and a member and President (2005-2007) of the South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
